Ineffable is defined as ‘too great or extreme to be expressed or described in words’.

Ineffable is a curatorial project; interactive publication; facilitator for workshops and live sonic events. We are a platform for Sound Art: those sonic practices that are beyond language and demand to be heard.

Showcasing Sound Art’s blurred edges between Experimental Music and Fine Art with agile tendrils that sprawl into Performance, Sonic Meditation and Ecological practices. Our projects seek to engage with sound art through its materiality and exist as a mechanism of artistic expression for all.

Brought to life by co-founders Sophie Barrett-Pouleau and Lydia Poole, Ineffable brings together sound artists to promote accessibility to the arts as well as open collaboration and exploration across different mediums.
